Housing preservation grants are a great boost for yourpersonnel development by helping you to repair your house. Thesetop government grants will also help with economic and communitydevelopment. They do so by funding nonprofits to repair incomecontrolled housing.

Just as it did this week in Fairfax County. They received 2.5million dollars for their community to help create jobs andrepair housing. Their plan for a majority of this money will beto preserve rent controlled apartments.

In just 18 months, they have helped preserve nearly 600rent-controlled apartments, condominiums and town houses as partof the county board’s goal of saving 1,000 units during itsfour-year term. That is a lot of good news for the community.

This housing preservation grants is to assist very low- andlow-income rural residents individual homeowners. It also helpsrental property owners of single and multi-units or co-ops.

These objectives will be accomplished through the establishmentof repair/rehabilitation projects ran by eligible applicants.This program is intended to make use of and leverage any otheravailable housing programs which provide resources to very lowand low-income rural residents to bring their dwellings up todevelopment standards.
